Reading Animals Exhibit at the Coeur d'Alene Public Library

My Reading Animals print series is on display in the children's book section of the Coeur d'Alene Public Library through the middle of June. The images are all at kid eye-level so they can enjoy the works while they browse the stacks.

Quaker Wedding Certificate

This spring I was commissioned to create a Quaker wedding certificate for a couple who recently got married. This is a piece of art commemorating the ceremony and celebration and was signed by all the attendees-- over one hundred. The couple wanted decorative elements that included a firebirds, a chestnut tree and a few woodland creatures. The piece is gouache with hand drawn lettering in black ink, (plus erasable graphite for the signature lines) on 14x20" watercolor paper.

This piece was a lot of fun to create, and it's always a good challenge to draw creatures I've never painted before! Great project, great couple and I wish them all the happiness in the world.
